Unity Celebration

All alumni, students and families are welcome to celebrate the diversity of Brown’s student and alumni community with Brown’s alumni affinity groups: Asian/Asian American Alumni Alliance, Brown University Latino Alumni Council, Inman Page Black Alumni Council, Native/Native American Brown Alumni, the Brown Alumni Pride Association and the Disability and Neurodivergence Alumni Collective. Enjoy a presentation of gifts to representatives from the graduating Class of 2025. Raise a glass to Brown’s alumni leaders and graduates in recognition of their accomplishments.

Take a break from Campus Dance and stop by the Brown Center for Students of Color (BCSC; formerly the Third World Center). Mingle with classmates and friends, enjoy music and refreshments and celebrate the rich legacy of the center.

Brown Alumni Pride Association (BAPA) Brunch and Reception

10:30 a.m. – noon | Stonewall House, 22 Benevolent Street

This annual tradition brings graduating students and their families together with alumni, faculty, administrators and staff. Please join the Brown Alumni Pride Association (BAPA) in the brand new location of Brown’s LGBTQ Center at Stonewall House to relax and enjoy with friends old and new, to congratulate degree recipients—both undergraduate and graduate—and learn more about BAPA. This is an inclusive event open to all alumni, students and families.
 

Inman Page Black Alumni Council (IPC) Annual Meeting and 25th Anniversary Reception

2:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. | Smith-Buonnano Hall 106 & Lobby, 95 Cushing Street

Join the Inman Page Black Alumni Council (IPC) Board of Governors to learn about current initiatives fostering stronger connections among alumni and with the University. This is a great opportunity for graduating seniors and current IPC members to discover how to get involved. This inclusive event is open to all alumni, students and families. The annual business meeting will be held from 3 to 4 p.m., followed by a reception from 4 to 5 p.m. At the reception, the community will raise a glass to celebrate IPC’s first 25 years and look forward to the next 25, filled with continued growth, impact, and meaningful connections within the alumni community and with the University. 
 

Disability and Neurodivergence Alumni Collective (DNAC) Reception

Please join the Disability and Neurodivergence Alumni Collective (DNAC) for the second annual reception. This gathering is an opportunity to come together in community, welcome the newest Class of 2025 alumni, engage with a short program and enjoy light refreshments, and learn more about DNAC. Students, alumni, community members and loved ones are all welcome. In support of immunocompromised community members, attendees are asked to please wear face masks at this reception. (Masks will be provided upon entry if needed.)

Annual Asian / Asian American Alumni Alliance (A4) Commencement Celebration

4 – 5:30 p.m. | Commencement Event Tent, 251 Bowen Street (corner of Brook Street)

A4 will recognize members of the Class of 2025 and their families with an afternoon of hospitality and entertainment that is open to all alumni, students, and families. Stop by to visit, watch student group performances, enjoy light refreshments and congratulate this year’s recipients of the annual A4 Community Contribution Award. Students, alumni, community members and friends are welcome. NAB/NABA Commencement Dinner

Please join Native/Native American Brown Alumni (NABA) and the Native American and Indigenous Studies Initiative (NAISI) for a community celebration in honor of degree recipients — celebrating their achievements, families and communities. Join alumni, faculty and staff in welcoming this year’s graduates into the alumni community and commemorate their dedication and endeavors. All Brown alumni and students are welcome to attend. Pre-registration is required.

La Comunidad Pre-Commencement Celebration

7 – 8 p.m. | Omni Hotel, 1 West Exchange Street

La Comunidad Pre-Commencement Celebration (LCC) honors the achievements of graduating seniors and 0.5ers who have been affiliated with the Brown Center for Students of Color (BCSC) during their time at Brown University. It is also an opportunity to recognize the intergenerational history and tradition in which graduating seniors and 0.5ers are inducted into their respective Brown alumni affinity group. All graduating seniors who successfully complete their studies at Brown are invited to participate. Each graduating senior will receive a stole symbolizing their accomplishments and connection to the BCSC.

Please note: the stole ceremony is traditionally preceded by a special dinner for undergraduate degree recipients and their families only. However, alumni are invited and encouraged to attend the stole ceremony scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m.
 

ONYX Rites of Passage Stole Ceremony

The ONYX Rites of Passage Celebration (ONYX) honors the achievements of graduating seniors and 0.5ers who have been affiliated with the Brown Center for Students of Color (BCSC) during their time at Brown University. Unity Funk Nite

Groove to the best music of the ’70s through today at this revival of an old Brown tradition with a multicultural twist, featuring Garfield Davidson ’00 ("DJ GARF DIGGA").

Alumni, seniors, and families are welcome to this evening of dancing, music, and fun. This is a 21+ event.
